IRI Beacon Project is soliciting applications for research projects that seek to build resilience to #disinformation. The call is aimed at collecting research proposals from emerging initiatives. Ideal project concepts will include media monitoring components, innovative communication approaches and cross country/cross regional cooperation.
Eligibility:

Project application can be sent by one organization or a consortium of organizations.

Every application needs to include lead organization registered in following countries: Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Romania or Bulgaria

Organizations eligible for applying are think-tanks, NGOs or non-state affiliated academic institutions.

In order to be perceived as an “emerging initiative" organizations must be established less than 5 years ago OR apply on behalf of a disinformation research department/research initiative established less than a year ago OR apply on behalf of a project research team with age average under 30.
Research Focus:

Disinformation topics with a region-wide or cross-regional relevance and geographical scope focused on Western Balkan countries, Eastern Partnership countries and EU member states which joined the European Union in/after 2004.
