Biljana has more than 13 years’ experience in work supporting sustainability of democratic processes. Her focus is on actions aimed to combat foreign and domestic disinformation campaigns.

Brady has an academic background in European politics and professional experience in data management. He provides overall programmatic support and coordination of Beacon media monitoring software.

Emina’s professional background is in Western Balkan contemporary politics. She holds a degree in International Studies and Slavic Languages and Cultures. She speaks Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian.
Operations Manager | Bratislava
Hana manages all Beacon finance, administration, events and traveling for the regional Brussels office. She joined IRI in 2012, and in addition to English, Hana speaks Slovak and German.

Hannah has an academic background in linguistics and politics. She provides administrative support to the Beacon project and conducts research focusing on Russian media coverage of current events.

Iva has over 6 years of professional experience in democracy support and sustainable development. With a background in Law and Political Science, she provides programmatic support focused on the V4 and Balkans.

Jan Surotchak joined IRI in 1994. Currently, Surotchak oversees IRI regional programming focusing on the key threats to the alliance of democratic societies in the Transatlantic space.
Resident Program Director | Brussels
Joanna Rohozińska has been engaged in programs in Europe and Eurasia for 20 years, living and working in several countries in the region. She holds a graduate degree in Russian and European history from the University of Toronto where she focused on nationalism and foreign policy issues within the Russian and Soviet Empires.
Regional Coordinator for the Baltics | Riga
Krišjānis has a background in politics, research and IT, previously working for the European and Latvian Parliaments. He has conducted research on digital communication, economics and youth.

Samuel’s work focuses on European political party strengthening. He is the executive producer of IRI’s podcast Global, which amplifies expert voices from around the world on democracy issues.
Junior Program Officer and MEL Specialist

Sveatoslav has an academic background in International Relations and Politics. He joined IRI in 2017 and had been working for IRI Moldova Office for three years. He provides programmatic support and monitoring and evaluation of program results. He is a certified trainer.
